PRISM AI Cost Model
Economics track

Three components determine the cost of running one salon.

Cost per salon is built from per-salon fixed costs, that salon's share of the shared platform, and usage that moves with active lead activity. Price is then set from a chosen gross margin.

Cost components and the price formula.

Fixed Costs

Per-salon fixed costs plus each salon's allocated share of platform costs.

  • Phone number + A2P
  • Jambonz / voice system
  • Shared infrastructure allocation
  • Support allocation

Usage Costs

Provider costs that scale with active lead activity.

  • AI conversation handling
  • SMS delivery
  • Voice synthesis
  • Call minutes / SIP
  • Social message AI processing

Selling Price

A target gross margin is selected, and the calculator derives the implied monthly price per salon.

Cost / (1 - Margin) $100 cost at 60% margin implies a $250 price.
Fixed base Exists before any lead activity
Usage layer Moves with active leads
Implied price Cost / (1 - margin)

What is fixed, what varies, and what stays under your control.

Provider costs and lead behaviour sit outside direct control. Package design, margin and fees do not.

Fixed inputs

  • Phone number and A2P registration
  • Jambonz voice licence
  • Shared infrastructure allocation
  • Support retainer allocation

Variable inputs

  • AI conversation volume
  • SMS delivery volume
  • Voice minutes
  • Active lead behaviour

Your levers

  • Package design and inclusions
  • Target gross margin
  • Published market price
  • Onboarding fee
Cost / salon = per-salon fixed + shared platform / salons + support / salons + usage Salon count changes the shared allocation. It does not change published package prices.

Shared infrastructure and support assumptions are validated through 50 salons. Beyond that, capacity requirements should be recalculated before quoting.
